MyTree Basic

You will receive your own dedicated tree from a Finnish forest, whose growth and carbon sequestration you can monitor annually.

A wooden nameplate with your name and the tree’s identification number will be made for you and placed next to your tree.

You will receive an e-certificate with your name via email. The certificate automatically uses the buyer’s name. If you want it issued under a different name, please indicate this in the additional information section on the checkout page or contact customer service.

After your purchase, the following measurements and assessments will be made for your tree: its age, height, diameter, and an estimate of its volume in liters. Based on these calculations, an estimate is made of how much carbon dioxide the tree has absorbed during its lifetime. This initial measurement made after the purchase is free of charge. You can track your tree’s development by purchasing a new growth report. New measurements are taken after the growing season in autumn.

Important: The growth report must be purchased at least every two years. If the report is not renewed, the agreement regarding the tree will be expire.

MyTree Premium

You will receive your own dedicated tree from a Finnish forest, whose growth and carbon sequestration you can monitor annually.

A wooden nameplate will be made for you, inscribed with your name, your chosen text (up to two sentences), and the tree’s identification number. The nameplate will be placed next to your tree.

In addition to the e-certificate, Premium buyers will also receive a high-quality printed certificate by mail. The certificate is produced by Canca, which sends it directly to the customer. The certificate automatically uses the buyer’s name. If you want a different name on the certificate, please indicate this in the additional information section on the checkout page. You can also contact customer service.

What is MyTree?

MyTree is for you who want to maintain a connection with nature, no matter where in the world you are. Forests are full of vitality, but for many of us, their beauty remains distant due to the hustle of daily life or urban living. MyTree solves this: you get your own dedicated tree, through which you can follow the pulse of nature and grow together with the forest.

How MyTree works?

Once you place your order, you will receive an official MyTree certificate via email. For MyTree Premium buyers, a high-quality printed version will also be sent by mail. After this, we select your own dedicated tree from a young Finnish forest. You do not legally own the tree, but you gain a symbolic and personal connection to it. A wooden nameplate is crafted for your tree, inscribed with your chosen name and the tree’s identification number. With Premium, you can optionally add a short custom text to the nameplate. During the nameplate installation, your tree is measured and photographed, providing you with details about its age, height, diameter, and an estimate of the carbon dioxide it has sequestered.
You will receive this information and photos via email. In the future, these details will also be available on Helmont’s website under your account. In the autumn, after the growing season, new measurements are taken of the tree. The first annual growth report is included free of charge with MyTree Premium. This way, you can follow your dedicated tree’s journey year after year, no matter how far you live from the tranquility of the forest.
